Armenia 3-1 Uzbekistan. Friendly international
On 25 May 2010 Armenia vs. Uzbekistan friendly match took place at Republican Stadium after Vazgen Sargsyan. The match ended 3:1 to Armenia. Our players managed to break through the opponent’s defense with swift attacks and make the match score 3:0 already at the first half: Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened the match score at the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes later Uzbekistan defender Artyom Filiposyan was sent off by the referee Levan Kvaratskhelia because of pulling down Edgar Manucharyan. Armenia is on the 100th place in FIFA Coca Cola ranking
On 26 May, 2010 FIFA Coca Cola ranking was issued. In comparison with the previous month Armenia moved down a place and occupied the 100th position in the ranking. There are no changes in top three: the world five-time champion Brazil leads the ranking table followed by European champions Spain on the second place. Portugal completes the top three. 1. Flemming Serritslev: “I am proud of this team”.
On 20 May Armenia U-21 National team celebrated a 3:2 victory over Estonia within the frames of 2011 European Championship. Our team head coach Flemming Serritslev answered the journalists’ questions after returning home from Tallinn. It was a very difficult match but we played very well. We knew how Estonia was going to play: mostly in defense and attacking with long passes upstairs transferring the ball into the opponent’s field.
