Armenia National Teams leave for Turkey
On October 12 2009 Armenia National and U-21 National Teams left for Turkey. Armenia National Team will be accommodated in Bursa Holiday Inn Hotel and U-21 will make its way to Eskisehir to compete with Turkey U-21 National Team on October 13 at Eskisehir Ataturk Stadium. 2010 World Cup Qualifiers Turkey vs. Armenia match is staged a day later on October 14 at Bursa Ataturk Stadium. U-19 European Championship: Armenia 1-6 Scotland
Armenia U-19 National Team played the second match at U-17 European Championship group tournament taking place in Austria. Our team competed with Scotland U-19 National Team and lost 1-4. The only goal for Armenia team was scored by Zhora Stepanyan. Scotland player Forrest scored two times and Inman, McHugh, Burns, and Wilson scored a goal each. U-17 European Championship: Armenia 1-4 Poland
Armenia U-17 National Team played the second match at U-17 European Championship group tournament. Our team competed with the host Poland U-17 National Team and lost 1-4. Our team defender Grigor Hovhannisyan opened the match tally scoring an owngoal at 44th minute. A bit later Poland players Nalepa and Boguslawsky scored a goal each. At 59th minute Armenia player Hovhannes Miranyan could shorten the match score difference scoring a goal for his team, but Poland player Serafin scored the fourth goal for the opponent at the end of the match. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa: Armenia 1-2 Spain
On October 10 2010 World Cup Armenia vs. Spain qualifying match took place at Yerevan Republican Stadium. The guests opened the match score at 33rd minute: Francesc Fabregas scored. Armenia National Team managed to restore the score balance at 59th minute: the team defender Robert Arzumanyan scored after free kick. But the guests managed to gain a penalty 5 minutes later and Mata scored the second goal for his team. Armenia National Team lost 1:2 and occupying the last place in the group. Armenia National Team squad changes
Armenia National Team will hold training camp at Regineh Hotel in Yerevan on October 6-12, 2009. In comparison with the players’ list published on September 29, two changes have been made in the team: the coaching stuff sent home Davit Grigoryan and FC Haarlem forward Edgar Manucharyan got injured during the last match he played for his team.
