Media seminar in FFA

The seminar for the press-officers of the local clubs was initiated and organized by the Press Office and the Licensing Department of the Football Federation of Armenia on 23 April.

The necessity of such a seminar was conditioned by the requirements of UEFA and FFA Club Licensing Manuals, as well as FFA’s policy on harmonization of relations and cooperation between press officers of clubs and the FFA.

The seminar was conducted by the FFA Press Officer Georgi Matevosyan and Head of the FFA Licensing Department Arno Sargsyan. Former FFA Press Officer Arayik Manukyan (PR Manager at “Araratbank” CJSC), journalist Ashot Martirosyan (editor-in-chief of “Football +” weekly) and photojournalist (photographer) Hakob Berberyan were invited as the seminar experts.

Numerous topics were presented to the seminar participants; further discussions were led on them
In particular,

- press-officers’ functions,
- working conditions,
- ad & PR,
- photojournalism,
- “club – FFA” relationship,
- etc.

FFA Executive Director Armen Minasyan made the final speech. He noticed that implementation of the matters discussed during the seminar would improve the activities of the clubs’ press officers, cooperation between national association and clubs, as well as the image of the Armenian club football created in the opinion of the Football Family.

The seminar participants reached an agreement to organize not only seminars and workshops, but also periodic meetings. It was agreed that the FFA and clubs’ press officers would have monthly councils.

At the end of the agenda the certificates were granted to the clubs’ press officers.
