Vardan Minasyan, Armenia National team Head Coach

“There is a big difference between Bosnia and Belgium National Teams of course but in my opinion we play not bad in the previous match, too.
Our team stepped back at the end of the match and we had to spend more time at our goals. Anyhow, we had several good counter-attacks and chances to score.
I had to make two substitutions: Arakelyan and Goharyan got injured and had to leave the field at the first half already. That was the reason of making the final substitution so late. I planed to take out Levon Pachajyan to the field who joined the training camp after Armenia vs. Bosnia match but I didn’t do that because of those two forced substitutions.
I see qualitative progress in the team’s play. Our team has a good potential. We need to believe in ourselves and be more confident. ”

Frank Vercauteren, Belgium National Team Head Coach

First of all I would like to congratulate Armenia National Team on victory. We had a really difficult opponent and they gained victory they deserved. It happens often: you think that the opponent is not strong but you see a totally different team in the field.
We played without our three key players but it can’t justify the way we played. I don’t think that our defeat in Spain had an influence on today match but I want to say that our team didn’t play the way it is able to. We lost in Spain in all respects. The match score difference could be much bigger: we had just two or three chances to score but Spain had a lot.
As for me I was invited to work at the National team for qualifying five matches and I will leave the team after the end of qualifiers”.
